Origin story
The name came first. Everything else followed from it.
Three questions come up more than any others: what does Praval mean, why that name, and where did the logo come from? Here is the story in the order it happened: the name, then the mark, then the colors, and finally the thing the name turned out to have been carrying all along.
The name
Praval
Looking for a name in 2023, a few things had to be true at once. It had to mean something. It had to be easy to say, by anyone, anywhere. It had to have the .com. And it had to feel like a brand we could genuinely make our own. Three days of searching later, Praval turned up, and something about it simply felt right.
Pravāla · प्रवाल
Coral and new growth.
In Sanskrit, pravāla means both coral and a sprout, the first shoot of something that was not there before. Both readings fit a company being started from nothing.
Prabal · प्रबल
Strong, fierce, passionate.
Its close relative prabal carries force. Together the two words describe the qualities a new company needs: strong in character, courageous enough to do things right, resilient, and genuinely passionate about the work.
Praval Technologies took the name, and with it pravaltech.com and later praval.ai. Looking back, it feels less like a name that was chosen and more like one that was found, at the right time.
The logo
Two hexagons. One Praval.
The mark had to say more than technology. It had to carry how we wanted to build and work together: teamwork, character, commitment, resilience, ownership. Simple forms seemed the honest way to do that, so the search started with geometry: what happens when basic shapes are combined with intent. That led to the hexagon, a shape nature keeps returning to in honeycombs and snowflakes because it is stable, balanced and strong, and because individual hexagons connect to build something far larger than one of them. A single hexagon would not have told the story. Two would.
A chain
Teamwork and unity.
Two intertwined hexagons form a link. Neither one is complete on its own, and the strength is in the join, which is the plainest way we could draw what we believe about working together.
An infinity symbol
Endless opportunities for growth.
Read a second time, the same intertwining traces an infinity symbol: continuity and the sense that the possibilities do not run out.
A rising hexagon
Forward motion and progress.
The right-hand hexagon sits higher than the left. That lift is deliberate: it reads as movement upward rather than a mark sitting still.
A cursive P
Back to the name.
Look closely and the negative space resolves into a cursive letter P, tying the mark back to the word it stands for.

The colors
Coral red and blue.
Blue carries the name. Red carries the mark. Each was chosen for what it says rather than how it looks next to the other.
Blue
Stability, wisdom, creativity, trust.
The qualities we want a client to assume before we have said anything, which is why it is the color the name itself is set in.
Coral red
Energy, passion, courage, optimism.
The qualities that actually drive the work. It is used as an accent and never as a field, so it keeps its force.
Coral red was not a neutral pick. Praval means coral, so the color of the mark quietly returns to the meaning of the name, and the identity closes its own loop.
What it means
Strength. Teamwork. Growth.
Stripped back, Praval comes down to three things, and all three are visible in the mark if you know to look for them.
Strength
Having the character and commitment to do what we say.
Straight lines, no curves. The part of the identity that is about keeping your word.
Teamwork
Knowing that the best things are built together.
The intertwined hexagons: two shapes that only become a chain by holding on to each other.
Growth
Always learning, evolving, creating new possibilities.
The upward lift of the right hexagon and the infinity traced by the join.
Praval is more than a name or a logo. It is a reminder of the principles the company was built on and the ones we try to demonstrate every day: doing the right things, the right way, and making a meaningful difference.
The part nobody planned
PRA. VAL.
We call that philosophy Pragmatic Values. And the name had been spelling it out from the beginning: PRA for Pragmatic, VAL for Values. The word we had chosen for what it meant in Sanskrit turned out to be carrying the company's philosophy in plain sight.
